Eidos is my well loved and treasured liveaboard magic carpet. She is a rare classic, an East Orient cutter, 32 feet in length, designed by a well-known Canadian designer, Ted Brewer, and built in Taiwan in 1980. She was also marketed as Union 32 and Shearwater 32 and has been compared to a Tayana, a Pacific Seacraft, and a Southern Cross. Some people confuse her with a Hallberg-Rassy. The Advantage 44 is a performance cruising catamaran designed by J Shuttleworth and built by Bader Catamarans in Germany. Fellow sailors call it the „little gunboat“.
